Pilot killed in a light plane crash at Braidwood

NSW Police Force Report: Tuesday, 06 August 2019 02:02 PM

A man has died in a light plane crash at Braidwood.

Officers from Monaro Police District were called to the property on Nerriga Road, Braidwood, responding to reports a plane had crashed shortly after 11.30am (Tuesday 6 August 2019).

The body of the pilot - believed to be the sole occupant - was found in the wreckage.

A crime scene has been established and police will work with Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) investigators as inquiries into the crash continue.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.

No further information is available at this stage.
