A smaller field than in recent weeks registered for this week's Tuross Head Vets golf single Stableford event. Winner on the day with a great return to form was Peter McRae with a fabulous score of 28 points for the nine holes played. Steve Swanbury edged out Robert McKirdy on count back as the runner up with both players returning excellent scores of 26. Barry Hoban took out the last of the major prizes on 24 points.
Minor prizes went to Richard Wharton and Steve Collins on 23, husband and wife Len and Gail Rogers on 22, Ann Ware and Richard Kelly with 21, Ian McManus, Margaret Downey, Stephen Crossling and Julie Barningham on 20, and in a four way count back Ken Brown and Annette Manton with 19.
Noel Downie took out this week's Bradman award.
