Peter Hogan wins Tuross par golf competition

Tuross Head Country Club men’s par golf competition resulted in well known Tuross identity Peter Hogan claimed a clear win with an excellent score of plus 5.

He was followed by Martin Booth with a card of plus 4.

Richard Brake, Bruce Brawn and Gordon Groves all handed in cards of plus 3 to claim the remaining presentation awards.

Nearest the pins were won by A grade players Paul Ferguson, Jason Niko and Colin Houghton.

B grade golfers Steve Swanbury and Ian Lawson were the closest to the pin in their grade and Graeme Bell and Bruce Brawn won awards in the C grade division.

The popular Thursday stableford medley event was awarded to Ray Bollard with 38 points ahead of Ian Manton 37 points, Steve Johnston and Colin Houghton each had 35 points and Ian Kingston scored 34 points.

Colin Houghton had the satisfaction of being closest to the pin on all three par 3 holes
