Peter Hogan: Top scorer in Tuross Head stableford round

Tuross Head golfers competed in a stableford round last Saturday and well known local golfer Peter Hogan won the event with an excellent score of 39 stableford points.

Graeme Bell returned a card of 37 points for second spot with Ian Manton and Frank Pomfret both scoring 36 points featuring in the awards for the day.

Ian Miller’s 35 points also resulted in a presentation from the day’s sponsor Adam Husband.

Graeme Bell and Wayne Fullerton won the 2 Ball Best Ball competition held in conjunction with single stableford with a score of 46 points.

Stephen Swanbury enjoyed every golfers dream with a hole in one on the 13th hole.

Nearest the pins were won by A grade golfer:

Adam Husband on the 4th hole with 3.70 m.

Dave Bray was closest on the 6th with 1.80 m and Troy Kingdom won the 7th with 4.01 m.

B grade best on the 4th hole was Steve Swanbury with a hole in one. Well done Steve.

Reg Apps was best on the 6th with 3.84 m and

Peter Garn was awarded the 7th hole with 4.01 m.

C grade player Allen Lee was the winner on the 4th hole with 5.13 m.

Colin Fletcher won the 6th with 3.87 m and

Darren Willmouth the 7rh with 3.63 m.

Thursday’s stableford medley competition was won by Jennifer Gray with an excellent score of 38 points ahead of Ian Manton 37, Colin Houghton 36 and Graeme Bell 35.

Nearest the pins went to Graeme Bell with Colin Houghton winning both the 6th and 7th hole.
