Paul Pereira Sneaks Home at Tuross Vets Stroke and Putts

An unusually small field of only 49 players registered for the Tuross Head Veterans Golf Stroke and Putt event on Wednesday 28 April 2021. Winner on the day was Paul Pereira with a nett score of 29, representing a score of 6 below handicap for the nine holes played. Runner up was Shirley Quinlan with 30, beating home Ann Ware and Kevin Reilly with 32 on count back. Minor prizes went to Greg Bush, Dave Munro and Margaret Downey with 34, Des Jackson, Barry Hoban and Graham Moore with 36, and finally Peter Coffey, Terry Lunn and Rob Nash all on 36. Graham Moore took out the putting contest with only 12 putts for the nine holes, whilst nearest the pins went to Des Jackson on the 4th, Frank Pomfret on the 6th, and to Shirley Quinlan and Ken Brown on the 7th. Greg Bush took out the Accuracy award.
