Overnight fire in Broulee

Fire and Rescue NSW Station 384 Moruya report:

5 November 2019 1157pm P384 called to house fire Broulee.

P384 was first arriving appliance and were confronted with a garage and car inside fully alight, there was also heavy smoke showing from eves all around the house.

Crews donned BA and attacked the Fire initially from the outside until power was switched off, then crews went to internal attack.

The fire was brought under control after a period of time, unfortunately the house suffered severe smoke and heat damage.

Crews were assisted with RFS from Broulee, Moruya and Malua bay and also RP217 fire and rescue from Batemans bay, with RV384 assigned to provide hot freshments and firefighter welfare.

Thankfully all occupants were safely out of the house on our arrival.

Thank you to NSW ambulance for being on scene for firefighter safety and NSW police for scene security.

Thanks also to T398 from Narooma for providing town coverage in Moruya while we were at this incident.
