Out of hours transport of concrete bridge segments

STARTING MONDAY: Out of hours transport of concrete bridge segments

Bridge contractors are transporting 166 concrete bridge segments from a pre-cast facility south of Mogo, along the Princes Highway to the construction areas on the southern and northern foreshores in Batemans Bay.

These concrete segments will be transported under police escort, from Monday to Friday and Saturday mornings outside of peak traffic hours to minimise the impact to motorists and the local community. Segments will be delivered under police escort weekdays from 6am to 7am, from 9.30am to 2.30pm and 4:30pm to sunset. On Saturdays segment delivery will occur between 6am to 8am. During these delivery times, delays of up to 30 minutes may be experienced for boat users wanting to use the Clyde Street boat ramp. Boaters can still use Hanging Rock and Nelligen boat ramps. The segment transportation is expected to continue until late 2020.
