The October-November 2021 issue of ‘Recollections’ is OUT NOW.
Recollections Editor Peter Lacey says "We hope you enjoy reading it and discovering a little more about the absolutely fascinating history of the NSW South Coast.
Paper copies should be available in the usual outlets.
It’s also accessible at www.bit.ly/Recollections30 so please let all your friends, neighbours, workmates know that it’s now available.
Peter told The Beagle "We have pleasure in presenting the October November issue of ‘Recollections’. We hope readers will enjoy discovering a little more about the fascinating history of the area from this issue.
"Covid restrictions have played havoc with printing and distribution arrangements of paper copies of this issue – i.e. ultimately getting about 3,500 paper copies to those who normally would collect copies. We hope to have copies to outlets in the Bega Valley Shire sometime next week, but until lockdown restrictions in Eurobodalla Shire are lifted we cannot deliver any copies to our distribution outlets there. This will be a huge disappointment to the many locals who really look forward to receiving each new issue."
"Could we again ask that readers to demonstrate their support of our activities by becoming a member of the South Coast History Society, if you are not already a member. The demand from our local community for copies of ‘Recollections’ is ever increasing – meaning that we are continually faced with a not-inconsiderable challenge of having to find more and more money to pay for every new issue produced."
"The donations and membership fees from supporters are therefore ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL to the community projects we undertake (the principal one, of course, being the regular production of ‘Recollections’!) - and we can assure you every instance of support that is received by the Society is GREATLY APPRECIATED and EFFECTIVELY USED."

The Federal Member for Eden Monaro said "This group works hard to preserve and share as much of the fascinating history and heritage of the NSW South Coast with as many people as possible. They do this by distributing a free South Coast history magazine every two months. "I encourage everyone to give this a read - you can find copies across most Bega Valley and Eurobodalla libraries - but I've also got some in my Bega Office if you want to pop in and grab a copy!"
