NSW vehicle owners have until 30 September 2019 to check their eligibility for a CTP Green Slip refu

More than 759,000 policyholders are eligible for their share in $29 million and it is easy to claim online at Service NSW. More than three million policyholders have claimed around $194 million to date, with the average claim being $120 per refund.

Any unclaimed money after the deadline will go towards further reducing Green Slips, by lowering the motor accidents levy.

NSW Minister for Customer Service Victor Dominello said the NSW Government’s commitment to reducing the cost of living for households is why the CTP Green Slip refund scheme was offered.

“Any unclaimed money will go towards offsetting Green Slip levies from January 2020,” Mr Dominello said.

“The refund is a double win for drivers, who are paying $492 on average for premiums – the most affordable since 2012.”

CTP refunds are one of more than 70 cost of living rebates and savings available to households. Others include Energy Switch, the FuelCheck app and $100 Active Kids and Creative Kids vouchers.
