Council advise that North Head Drive will continue to be closed to traffic between the Granite Quarry and Bruce Cameron Drive until 20th August 2021, weather permitting.
Commuters will need to continue to detour via Broulee Road. Access to the Moruya Airport will only be available from the north via George Bass Drive.
Vehicles will continue to be escorted through the worksite to properties in Garlandtown as required.
Council advises that the extension is due to substantial rainfall early on in the project followed by cool temperatures and a lack of direct sunshine have that has prevented the road sub-base from drying out making the road unsuitable for sealing works.
