New sign at Mossy Point boat ramp leaves locals scratching their heads

Above: this new sign has popped up at Mossy Point Boat Ramp. A new sign has popped up at Mossy Point Boat Ramp and it is leaving locals scratching their heads at what it means. This might help. From the outset "What is irregular driving?" It turns out, from the Personal Watercraft Handbook - A guide to the key PWC rules, that examples of driving in an irregular manner include, but are not limited to: • Driving in a circle or other pattern • Weaving or diverting • Surfing down or jumping over or across any swell, wave or wash Note: The driving in an irregular manner restriction does not apply when the PWC is engaged in a towing activity such as water-skiing or other similar activities. The sign says you can't do this within 200 metres of the shore. If you look at the map and the scale below it is clear that the direction for PWC to go to sea to practice their irregular driving.

OK ... so that is sorted. Now for the next bit ???? It appears that the sign is a ham-fisted way of saying, as is clearly stated in the Personal Watercraft Handbook - A guide to the key PWC rules: Irregular driving not permitted within 200 metres of the shoreline where one or more dwellings are within 200 metres of the shore and visible from those waters.

NOTE: Comments were TRIALED - in the end it failed as humans will be humans and it turned into a pile of merde; only contributed to by just a handful who did little to add to the conversation of the issue at hand.
