Planning is underway to commence the new roundabout and associated early works on the
Princes Highway.
Access to the new hospital for all public and hospital vehicles, including ambulances will be via the new roundabout on the Princes Highway.
It will also be the primary access point for construction workers and contractors working on the new hospital.
Roundabout works are expected to commence in the first half of 2023.
Meanwhile closer connections with the local Aboriginal community are helping to ensure the new hospital is a place of healing and wellbeing for all.
Over coming months, an archaeological process will be carried out on the new hospital site to identify any Aboriginal heritage objects or artefacts. The archaeological work will be undertaken before any work to establish the site for construction.
