A new Public Health Order has been released in relation to the temporary closure of the NSW-Victoria border. The order can be viewed here.

Victorian residents are now only able to enter NSW for very limited reasons, such as obtaining medical care or fulfilling a legal obligation. Anyone wishing to travel from Victoria to NSW will need to apply for a COVID-19 NSW border declaration permit through this Service NSW page. Special conditions are in place for freight operations and other critical services. Provisions are also in place for residents of declared border regions, such as Albury-Wodonga. All questions regarding the permits should be directed to Service NSW. Heavy penalties and fines apply.

For more information about exemptions or to apply for a permit, please visit: https://www.service.nsw.gov.au/transaction/apply-covid-19-nsw-border-entry-permit
