A “Meet and Greet” for neighbours with the hospital project team this coming Thursday February 24th from 5 to 6pm adjacent to the site at the driveway at the corner of Maunsell and Albert Streets (if wet, it will be postponed).

This image is shown on the reverse side of the local resident Meet and Greet invitation invitation and it covers a slightly larger area than similar versions issued earlier. Of concern of neighbours in Keightley, Maunsell and Caswell Street the plan shows how close the hospital and helipad will be to the site’s northern perimeter. It also now advises that a secondary access road for emergency service vehicles runs off the end of turning circle at Caswell Street. One of the locals in this section of Moruya East told The Beagle "While the notation says "Emergency Vehicles. Limited Use Only" it is more than obvious that such Emergency Use will include the wail of an ambulance sirens". "The community was lead to believe that the location of the hospital on this site was due to it being next to the proposed Highway By-pass that Andrew Constance indicated would be "to the east of the site". "From this plan it appears as that revelation was nothing but an empty statement without any substance as it is now clear that the entrance is down by the TAFE." "Just where is the Moruya bypass going and why is the hospital site so dislocated from the preferred options we are told the NSW Government are vying for?" "Just who is running these disjointed decisions that appear to be telling us what they have decided rather than consulting the community." The NSW Government website says: "The key purpose of master planning is to develop a framework for how key clinical connections and requirements can be supported with different types of infrastructure, and how this infrastructure can be located and connected to existing and new health networks, as well as supporting infrastructure such as transport and utilities.

"It also addresses how people will get to and from the hospital, what associated facilities and development will add to the healthcare facilities, and how the hospital works as a place. The master plan also considers how the hospital will expand and be renewed to provide high quality health services well into the future.

"The campus master plan for the new Eurobodalla Regional Hospital development is being developed in consultation with local and state government agencies, clinicians, operational staff and the community."

NOTE: Comments were TRIALED - in the end it failed as humans will be humans and it turned into a pile of merde; only contributed to by just a handful who did little to add to the conversation of the issue at hand.
