Changes to Council public access session

Community members can present directly to Eurobodalla Shire Councillors at a dedicated monthly public access sessions from this month. The Public Access session used to be held before every Council meeting (usually every two weeks for half an hour) however Council decided that they would prefer it to be once a month for one hour.

The sessions provide community members the opportunity to raise any Council-related issues with Councillors which have not been previously determined by Council.

The sessions will be held one Tuesday a month in the Council Chamber, starting Tuesday 23 July, from 9.15am – 10.15am. The sessions will not be webcast.

To present at a public access session, community members must register and provide a written copy of their presentation by 12pm on the business day prior.

Each speaker will have seven minutes to present, after which Councillors may ask questions. Council will provide a response to the presenter within 10 business days, and the presentation and response will be published on Council’s website. For more information on the public access sessions visit Council’s website www.esc.nsw.gov.au/inside-council/council/meetings or to register phone Council’s executive service office on 4474 1358.
