Nerrigundah Mountain Road closures

ATTENTION NERRIGUNDAH COMMUNITY!!!

Council is preparing to undertake maintenance grading of Nerrigundah Mountain Road. Due to the current condition of parts of the road, they need to close the area to traffic during works.

Where: Between Nerrigundah village and the Cadgee Mountain Road intersection

When: From 7am to 4pm, 20 to 22 June 2022, weather permitting

Why: To ensure contractors can safely undertake works in areas where the road is very narrow due to landslips. While the closure may cause some inconvenience, it will enable the work to progress in a reduced timeframe, with improved safety for contractors and road users.

Detour: Commuters to and from Nerrigundah will need to use Eurobodalla Road and Cadgee Mountain Road, adding 1.5km and less than five minutes to trips. Please see map showing the detour.

Emergency service vehicles will be provided access if required.

Nerrigundah Mountain Road will be open to traffic outside working hours for vehicles under 5 tonne. If you require access with a vehicle above 5 tonne, please register your details with our Natural Disaster Recovery Administration Officer, Tracie Parsons on 4474 1224.

If you require further information about the road closure, please phone Councils Moruya Depot on 4474 1391.
