NAROOMA update Jan 7th 2020

Megan Fraser has provided these breifing notes for her Narooma community

TUES 7 JAN NAROOMA EVAC CENTRE BRIEFING 10am Key Points: Fires impacting Eurobodalla are at advice level and not impacting properties. Rain has made little impact on fires Areas west of Moruya can’t return home yet Princes Hwy between Moruya and Mogo open Avoid travelling west of Moruya Continue to BOIL DRINKING WATER - bring to rolling boil for 1 minute Do not water down house and yard and remind neighbours about conserving water Kerbside collection started yesterday and will continue More garbage trucks will arrive when possible Do not leave bins filled with water on the kerb Moruya transfer station open Power restored Food & fuel trucks coming escorted Do not sift through any asbestos material until inspected by authorities Evac Centres will remain open as long as required Printed info provided at Centres after briefings Briefings at Centres 10am and 6pm. Non perishable items available for those who need them at Evac Centre
