There were two games of pairs played on Tuesday.

The winning team, decided by Lucky Rink, was Suzanne Dainer and Carol Harraway (skip) who started well to lead clearly after six ends then the game turned around with the scores 13 all after 13 ends but they knuckled down to take the next few ends for an 18 to 13 win against Sue Sansom and Jenny Coulson (skip).

Leila Gosper won the Rapley’s Meat raffle. Thank you to Rapley and Sons for their continued support.

The semi finals were played on Friday 9th of June and in the first match Suzanne Dainer and Gail Palmer (skip) were up against Sue Waldock and Sandra Breust (skip). Suzanne and Gail began well to lead 11 to four after 10 ends and maintained their lead throughout for a 23 to 10 win. The Final was played on 16 June between Anne Hunter and Gail Howe (skip) and Denise Holman (sub) and Suzanne Dainer (skip). What a great match this proved to be with the scores being level on four occasions. Denise and Suzanne hit the front early and led 13 to six after 11 ends but Anne and Gail came back strongly to lead 14 to 13 after 15 ends. After 20 ends the score was 20 all and the last two bowls proved the difference with Anne and Gail picking up two shots to win 18 to 16.
