Narooma search continues for missing boater

The search is continuing for a missing boater following a fatal rollover on the hazardous Narooma bar early this morning.Marine Rescue NSW crew rotations are taking place before rescue vessels Narooma 30, Bermagui 30 and four Rescue Water Craft head back out on to the water. One man, who was retrieved from the water by a nearby boater, died when the small open runabout rolled on the bar just after 6am. Witnesses reported seeing a second person in the water, who has not yet been located. The coordinated search involves rescue assets from Marine Rescue Narooma, Marine Rescue Bermagui and Tuross Marine Rescue, Marine Area Command - NSW Police Force, Toll Ambulance Rescue helicopter, Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopters - Official Site, Surf Life Saving NSW and NSW Maritime.
