Social Bowls Winners’ Circle
On Wednesday we had 40 bowlers making up six rinks of triples and a rink of pairs.. Winners were decided by Highest Winning Margin and this week the winners were Mitch Mitchell, Peter James and Mark Bartrob (skip) who were playing top bowls all day to lead throughout for a 29 to seven win against Vince Stocks, Reece Budnick and John Redman (skip). Second place went to Russell Smith and Terry Lewis (skip) who were all over the jack all day as they won their match 32 to 11 against Peter Hawker/Tony Fryer and Jim Constan (skip). Paul Naylor stuck to the jack on his first bowl for the day giving no one else a chance at first resting toucher. Well done Paul. Thank you to Rapley and Son, Narooma Plaza, for their continued support.
On Sunday we had two rinks of Triples and a rink of Pairs. Winners, decided by Highest Winning Margin, were Jan Rapkins and John Downie (skip) who started strongly for a 16 to six lead after 11 ends and they continued to play well to run out 31 to 11 winners against Pieter and Jean Vos (skip).
