Moruya lights up to reclaim Christmas cheer 17th-18th-19th December

Moruya Business Chamber, River of Art Inc (ROA), Moruya Rotary Inc and Southern Phone have collaborated to fund and present a light installation in Vulcan Street, lighting up Moruya over three nights, the weekend prior to Christmas 2020.

The event will illuminate of facades of shopfronts and buildings along Vulcan Street, the large trees in front of the Moruya Courthouse, and the two murals created during River of Art Festival transforming Moruya into a vibrant colourful space for three nights in December offering late night shopping and entertainment. Join in as Moruya celebrates the beginning of well-earned school holidays, the coming of summer, and reclaiming the Christmas period following the devastating Black Summer bushfires.

From 5pm to 11pm daily for three evenings: Thursday 17th, Friday 18th and Saturday 19th December 2020 the town will be illuminated with featured events of local visual artists painting live mini-murals on temporary walls and serenades by local musicians between 7:30pm – 9pm Visit Vulcan Street for a spot of shopping, grab a bite to eat and enjoy Luminous Moruya.
