Moruya Community Workshed

On Saturday 21 January a busy day was had by many members of the Moruya Community Workshed. As one of our fundraising events, we assist the Showground Committee in manning the Pink Gate when many visitors come to the annual Eurobodalla Show.

Saturday was free entry to the Show so we were kept on our toes as we attached wristbands to visitors. Even though there was no fee, it was still necessary to keep a tally of attendance. The weather was perfect and in between our work we witnessed some sterling golf shots. There was a little bit of nervousness as visitors wended their way along the public pathway across the golf course but there were no incidents as both sides respected each others’ right to be there.

The Workshed has been fortunate in being successful with a grant application from the National Shed Development Programme and this will be used to construct a set of stairs up to a mezzanine level increasing our storage area. We have some keen new members so the grant is very timely.

NOTE: Comments were TRIALED - in the end it failed as humans will be humans and it turned into a pile of merde; only contributed to by just a handful who did little to add to the conversation of the issue at hand. Anyone who would like to contribute an opinion are encouraged to send in a Letter to the Editor where it might be considered for publication
