More sport and events at Moruya showground?

Council officers will be at Moruya Golf Club from 5pm  tomorrow, Wednesday 15 July, to answer your questions and hear your submissions on changing the land category of the Moruya Golf Club and Showground Crown Reserves. Changing the land category from 'park' to 'general community use' supports Council and community objectives to ensure heritage values are preserved while allowing for the development of sports and events in the area of land bounded by Albert, Evans and Murray Streets. The forum will be independently chaired.

Council say the Moruya Showground continues to evolve as community needs change over time. Anyone wanting to comment on the proposed change can make a verbal submission at the public hearing and provide a hard copy to the chairperson. The change in land category is a part of draft plan of management for these reserves, on public exhibition until Tuesday 21 July. Council will be accepting submissions on the draft plan until Tuesday 4 August. To register for online streaming of the forum, contact Steve Picton on steve.picton@esc.nsw.gov.au by 12 noon Wednesday 14th July, 2020.

NOTE: Comments were TRIALED - in the end it failed as humans will be humans and it turned into a pile of merde; only contributed to by just a handful who did little to add to the conversation of the issue at hand. Anyone who would like to contribute an opinion are encouraged to send in a Letter to the Editor where it might be considered for publication
