Senator Jim Molan AO DSC will be in the Eurobodalla on Thursday, most likely showing his support for the local Liberal Candidate while also doing his best to electioneer anyone who will listen ahead of the May Senate election.
Most remember Molan by his astonishing interview on ABC Q & A saying "I'm Not Relying on Evidence"
Senator Jim Molan AO DSC, has been selected by NSW Liberal Party Members to fill the third spot on the Coalition Senate ticket in the next election.
In March the Liberal NSW division, in a statewide mass vote, dumped senator Concetta Fierravanti-Wells in favour of senator Jim Molan for third place on the Senate ticket.
Michelle Grattan, Professorial Fellow, University of Canberra says in an article in The Conversation that "the third spot will be very difficult to win but Molan, who polled strongly “below the line” last election when he was relegated to an unwinnable spot on the Coalition ticket, would have more pulling power than Fierravanti-Wells.
"It seems likely if he did win Molan, 71, who has been ill, would retire some time into the term, providing a casual vacancy for the Liberals to fill". In the absence of a local Federal or State Liberal member in the South East it has become the usual practice to roll out Molan to make announcements. Be sure to keep an eye out for him. No doubt he will be here to deliver gifts and trinkets.
