As I’m sure you can appreciate I was actually quite scared to give this little fighter a name for a while there. Now that we have been through so much and doing so well it’s time that everyone know him by name.
This beautiful, strong baby gorilla is named Kaius.
Kaius means “rejoice” which I think is fitting as we lost that sense of joy at his arrival because of the tough start to life he was dealt, but rejoicing his arrival is what we should be doing.
It also Carries on the family tradition as his mum, dad, grandma and grandpa all had names that started with K.
I’ll do a longer update tomorrow as to where Kaius is up to in his journey but for now this little champion needed his name to be made official.
