Mogo flooding; an act of GOD; or was it?

The Beagle Editor, Good Morning Please before they start prattling on about climate change could you find a very good Hydrologist to write on the flooding of Mogo. It goes back to the illegal felling of trees. These were left laying on the floor to dry in the summer heat and needless to say played their part in the devastating fires that all but destroyed Mogo. This removal of vegetation that was holding back the incline that backs on to Mogo, and further clearing of the Western bank of the water way, has caused sediment to fill the water way with earth, and the water having nowhere to go, thereby flooding the town. Now all we need is an educated hydrologist to write a piece so even the stupidest could understand. It will need a record chart of rainfall in that area from 1981-2021. While I am having my rant, Hawdons Creek, I think that is the name near Industrial Centre Moruya , when was the last time you saw a council backhoe clearing out the creek or any creek for that matter. Insurance may not see this flooding as an act of God . Have a nice day Jan Cairney
