Man dies following single-vehicle crash – Nerriga

A man has died and a woman is in hospital following a single-vehicle crash in the state’s south.

Just after 2.10pm (Friday 4 October 2019), emergency services were called to Braidwood Road, Nerriga, following reports of a single-vehicle crash.

Police have been told the vehicle left the road and went over an embankment, coming to rest down a gully.

The male driver of the vehicle died at the scene and the female passenger was airlifted to Canberra Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Both are believed to be aged in their 60’s.

Officers from South Coast Police District established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
