Major disruptions on Clyde Mountain - closed both directions between 6pm and 6am Mon to Thur

Travellers heading to the coast will have to plan their drives around major maintenance and repair work on the Kings Highway at Clyde Mountain (Batemans Bay). The Clyde will be closed in both directions Monday to Thursday nights between 6pm and 6am for about 3 weeks from Monday 12 October, weather permitting. Road works will be carried out during the day from 6am to 6pm Monday to Thursday, and 6am to 12 midday on Fridays.

The road will be open from midday on Fridays until 6am on Mondays to allow for weekend traffic.

During daytime work hours, traffic control, lane closures and reduced speed limit of 40km/h will be in place. Delays of up to 10 minutes can be expected.

Detours for light vehicles will be via the Princes Highway and Nerriga Road with an expected 75 minutes additional journey time. Nerriga Road also has major road resealing works from Nowra to Braidwood.

Heavy vehicles will be detoured via the Princes Highway, Picton Road, the Hume Highway and Snowy Mountains Highway, adding an expected 3.5 hours to journey time.
