Luminous 2022 scheduled for Sept 24th

Tickets are now on sale for Luminous: Art After Dark, the sensational feature event of the River of Art Festival to be held at Riverside Park, Moruya, from 4.00pm to 9.00pm on Saturday 24th September 2022.

Luminous will feature an internationally recognised light and laser show set to music with vivid colours and imagery erupting over the beautiful Moruya River. The dramatic laser show is a collaboration between River of Art, Melbourne based international artists Genius Laser and Eurobodalla’s own artist and award-winning animator Duncan Irving – Dunk0tron.

Festivities will be complemented by an artisans and local produce marketplace, performing artists and street performers, live bands across two stages, and themed feature lights throughout the parkland.

The lead music act for Luminous is Dom Turner, performing with his new band The Rural Blues Project. Dom is a multi-award-winning Australian blues artist and guitarist, and lead vocalist and founding member of the iconic Australian blues group Backsliders.

“After two years of COVID-19 lockdowns and uncertainty, are delighted to present such major artists. Over the coming weeks we’ll be launching a packed Festival Program featuring major artists, music and cabaret, exhibitions, workshops and open studios, said Leanne Joyce, Festival Chair.

General entry tickets for Luminous: Art After Dark will be $20 per adult. Children under 16 are free.

Tickets are also available for Luminous Lounge. The ticket price of $150 per person includes premium viewing from an exclusive marquee, a private bar and drinks, entertainment, and gourmet catering celebrating seasonal South Coast produce.

All tickets can be purchased online through Humanitix.

“We encourage people to get their Luminous tickets early, and visitors should book accommodation to ensure you can enjoy the best of the NSW South Coast this Spring.”

Our thanks go to the NSW Regional Events Acceleration Fund, Festivals Australia, the Eurobodalla Shire Council, and our fabulous sponsors – Southern Phone, Ray White, Horizon Bank, and Essential Energy for their support for this year’s River of Art Festival.
