Looking for local? Try the Eurobodalla Community Directory

Eurobodalla residents looking to connect with local services and organisations have access to a nifty online community resource.

Eurobodalla Council’s community directory was launched last year and now lists almost 900 services, groups and organisations from across the shire.

Above: The Eurobodalla Community Directory is a one-stop shop for residents to find out what’s available in the local area. View the community directory at https://services.esc.nsw.gov.au/community-directory/ or for more information email directory@esc.nsw.gov.au

Users can explore the directory to find things like local sporting clubs, special interest groups, bushfire recovery services, transport providers, employment services, health and wellbeing contacts, education and training providers, child or aged care services, volunteer groups, and more. Categories can be searched for shire-wide results or by town or village.

Eurobodalla Council’s community development manager Kim Bush said it was a one-stop shop for residents to find out what was available in the local area.

“You might have recently moved here, or you’re looking to join a local service organisation, or perhaps your circumstances have changed and you need to find care for a parent or child – the community directory is the perfect place to start,” she said.

“If you’re looking for ways to get around town you’ll find different transport options, while the volunteering category lists groups that accept volunteers.

“The Community Directory is mobile friendly, easy to use and results pop up as a list or on a map.”

Council staff have been proactive in adding organisations to the directory, and they’re now undertaking an annual review to ensure all listings are correct and up-to-date.

“We’d love for local not-for-profit services, groups and organisations to jump onto the directory and check their listing is there and if so, that it’s up-to-date,” Ms Bush said.

“There’s an easy-to-use form on the directory to update or add entries for those who meet the terms and conditions.”
