Long Term Tuross Veteran Golfer claims First Event Win

On what was a beautiful smoke free morning a good field of 61 players registered for the Single Stableford game scheduled for today. Winner on the day was long time Tuross Veteran Henry Anderson with a great score of 23 points. So long has it been since Henry won an event he claims it could well be his first ever event win at Vets. Henry was followed home by young Canberra visiting golfer Lachlan Nordsvan on 22 points. Lachlan recently took out the National Boys under 15 championship and capped this off with a fine hole in one on our fourth hole - well done Lachlan! Graham Moore edged out Jeanette Miller for 3rd place on count back with a score of 21.

Balls or chocolates went to Terry Lunn, Peter McRae and our eldest golfer Tim Starr with 20 points, Ian Wratten, Dorothy Madden, Steve Collins and Blaise Madden on 19, followed by a new member Kevin Reilly, Greg Smith and Leonie Snodgrass on 18. Another new member, Jenny Reilly, suffered at the hands of the handicapper and was awarded this week's Bradman prize. Nearest the Pins went to Lachlan Nordsvan on the 4th with his hole in one, Bruce Martin with a near hole in one on the 6th, and to Leonie Snodgrass and Steve Swanbury on the 7th. Lachlan's father Michael Nordsvan completed a great family day out by taking out the Accuracy drive.

Winner Henry Anderson
