Lollapalooza @ Carrol College November 22nd

Lollapalooza promises multi-cultural street food, music, fun and entertainment. Here are 14 reasons why you’ll wanna get your Lolla on!

1. Street Food

Love Greek, Mexican and Deep South American food? Our hospitality students are dishing up souvlaki, Mexican style loaded corn cobs, smokey pulled pork and slaw. Themed dress-ups and music will complete the cultural experience!

2. Show Fun

Lollapalooza is bringing carnival fun to Carroll College Broulee. A $20 wristband lets you ride all afternoon and evening on the Adrenaline Rush Extreme, The Big Baller, The Storm Swing Ride, The Chair O’Plane, The Obstacle Course and The Large Inflatable Slide! Rides and Slides suitable for big kids and little!

3. Vintage Treasures and Market Stalls

We have over a dozen stalls selling plants, candles, soaps, handmade clothes, jewellery, beads, dream catchers, arts and crafts, leather goods and vintage.

Plus an upcycled clothing and accessories stall. Get in early to unearth some fashion treasure!

4. A Chance to Chill

Hang out with your bestie and listen to live music brought to you by Carroll College’s very own Triple J Unearthed people, Singled Out, and all our talented musos. 2 or more live music hubs will be grooving the move.

5. Side Show Alley

Henna tattoo tent, face-painting, dunk a teacher (we’ll have a few to choose from!)

6. Grand Pesca

St Bernard’s famous show-stopping instant win raffle with 2000 prizes including donations from generous Eurobodalla businesses.

7. Sometimes Food Night

Fairy Floss, Slushies, Pop Corn, Hot-dogs, Ice-cream and of course the great Aussie BBQ. Bring it on! It’s Friday! Dinner’s covered!

8. Afternoon Tea

Grab your Gran or Pop and bring them along to Lollapalooza for tea and scones in the shade of our beautiful trees. Then take them to see the filmed interviews our students have done with seniors in our local aged care homes.

9. Military Mayhem

The 222 Australian Cadet Unit will be hosting a bunker buster obstacle course next to their military tent command post. An original AIF ceremonial sword and a WW1 rifle will be on display along with historical military uniforms and equipment. A cannon will be fired (ear drum warning!) and you can snap a selfie in a WW2 jeep!

10. Art and Photography Show

C Block will go all “national gallery” for the art and photography show. Get creative and submit an entry asap!! Surely all you Instagrammers should have some creative pics you can share? Open to students from all Eurobodalla schools. Prizes to be won.

11. Fresh Produce and Farm Animals

The best of the backyard will be on sale and display at St Mary’s Agricultural Pavilion. Eggs, veggies, pickles, jams and refreshing homemade lemonade will be available to buy. A baby calf, piglet, chickens and other farm animals are coming to school!

12. Science Experiments

Grab a lab coat and get radioactive and explosive with Mr Foster.

13. Sports Challenges

The local police are bringing their radar gun to zap the fastest sprinter, bowler and tennis serve. Show off your ball skills in the handball and basketball dunking competitions with our super cool sports teachers!

14. Go Green for Climate Change

Lollapalooza is encouraging everyone to eat, drink and play sustainably. Bring your own water bottle, cutlery and plates if possible. Then take them home, wash and reuse rather than adding rubbish to landfill. Make Greta proud of us here in the Eurobodalla. Our Rosellas will be on hand to give advice on responsible recycling.

Fresh drinking water will be available all evening at our numerous water stations.
