The government needs to close schools now. It is not about the kids’ safety or their families’ safety.
The PM and many others clearly do not understand that school kids of any age cannot or will not observe the self-distancing or hygiene guidelines that we need to be in place.
They huddle together in class, they touch each other, or they are wrestling, playing handball, while sneezing and coughing into their hands. I’ve witnessed all of these examples in one day.
This situation is a serious WHS issue for school staff. Some of us are not young, some of us have health issues which place us at higher risk and/or we are carrying germs home to family members who have these issues.
