Ted Richards is a former commercial photographer, with a personal interest in documentary photography. Retired to Batemans Bay, Ted volunteers at Batemans Bay Heritage Museum photographing artefacts as part of the cataloguing process. In response to a request for content for the Australian National Maritime Museum (ANMM) exhibit 'Remembering the fires from the water's edge', the Museum provided details of Ted's in-house photo essay late last year entitled, 'This Place, That Time', post bushfire landscapes. The work was taken up by the ANMM, and the exhibition is available to view until November 2021. A small museum contributing to a national institution through its skilled volunteers
