Local driver Bailey Sweeny qualifies in the top half of the field

Erebus Academy driver Bailey Sweeny has qualified in the top half of the field for Race 1 at Mount Panorama, Bathurst.

Sweeny has clocked a qualifying time of 2.40.9 to sit less than 2 seconds off the pole sitter.

The session was interrupted by a crash to Alec Morse which caused a limitation on lap times and saw a number of drivers compromised.
