Following Jaylah Hancock -Cameron's results at the Maurie Plant competition in Melbourne on the 23rd of Feb, where she placed 9th position with a 4 14 in a high quality race Jaylah has come away this weekend with a double gold in the NSW open women's u/23 state championship.
Jaylah dominated off the line, taking the lead, with a time in mind to achieve, on target but just fading in the last 800 to 600m mark, looking super strong.
Watching the race there was no way in telling that she lost time, holding strong, looking on target but falling shy finishing with a 4 17, yet still taking out the championship with a double gold!!
Congratulations to both Jaylah and fellow limitless track athlete Shayne Hargraves who came away with the silver for the u/ 23 placing an impressive 7th as an open athlete!
Going forward Jaylah is aware of what is expected , bringing her times down to make selection for up coming Australian teams.
