Jason receives award from his father Peter Nikolic

Tuross Head Country Club golfers once again competed in a medley stableford competition on Saturday and the winner of the event was Jason Nikolic with an excellent round of 43 stableford points.

Jason’s father Peter Nikolic, who is the men’s golf club captain, had the pleasure of presenting Jason with his award.

15 year old Tuross club member and visitor from Canberra Lachlan Nordsvan, and who is making himself well known in the junior ranks, was second with 39 points.

Nigel Barling also returned a card of 39 points for third place.

Well known district players, Colin Houghton and Leigh Coloe, both scored 38 points.

Nearest the pins were awarded to David Schmid, Shane Gschwend and Tim Watson.

The club is holding a full field Australia Day 2 person Shoey Ambrose competition on Tuesday January 26.

Tuesday’s medley stableford competition was won by Desmon Jackson with 40 points, he was followed by Peter Nikolic 38 points. Michael Nordsvan, Peter Mostyn and Richard Wharton followed with the three golfers each scoring 37 points.

Nearest the pins were won by Colin Houghton, B. Hendley and Leonie Doolan.
