Heritage grants open now

With the tragic loss of ten heritage buildings in the summer bushfires, the remaining listed properties have even more value to hard-hit Eurobodalla. Now the owners of heritage properties in the shire can apply for grants of up to $5,000 to help restore their pride and joy.

Projects that enhance individual places, building and historic streetscapes and that promote an appreciation of Eurobodalla’s history are eligible. The funding is offered annually as a part of Council’s Local Heritage Grants program, developed to raise awareness of heritage conservations, with a funding contribution from Heritage NSW.

Successful applicants need to match the grant dollar-for-dollar and the restoration work must be completed before May 2021.

Applications are open until 2pm on Friday 31 July 2020. For more information, guidelines or to complete the online application, visit https://www.esc.nsw.gov.au/inside-council/council/grants/local-heritage-places-grant or contact Council’s strategic planner (heritage) Stephen Halicki on 4474 1324.
