Hazardous Surf Warning for Batemans Coast and Eden Coast

The Bureau of Meteorology advise that large parts of the NSW coastline are currently subject to Hazardous Surf Warnings. Affected areas include the Coffs Coast, Macquarie Coast, Hunter Coast, Sydney Coast, Illawarra Coast, Batemans Coast and Eden Coast.

The advise says "People should consider staying out of the water and should avoid walking near surf-exposed areas. Rock fishers should avoid coastal rock platforms exposed to the ocean and seek a safe location that is sheltered from the surf. Much of NSW is expected to be exposed to Heatwave conditions by the end of the week, through the weekend and into early next week. By Friday, daytime temperatures throughout the state are anticipated to be well above average. Some locations are expected to hit temperatures well into the 40s.
