Golfer dies after hit by tree branch – Mollymook

A man has died after being hit by a tree branch on the South Coast this afternoon.


Just before 3pm (Thursday 21 January 2021), emergency services were called to a golf course on Clifford Close, Mollymook, following reports a man had been hit by a tree branch.


Police have been told the man, aged in his 50s, was on the course with three other players when the branch fell on his head.


The other men were uninjured and assisted the man before the arrival of emergency services.


NSW Ambulance paramedics attended and performed CPR on the man, however, he died at the scene.


Officers from South Coast Police District established a crime scene which will be examined by forensic police.


A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
