Global Stars Andre Rieu, Norah Jones and More Wish Batemans Bay Community A Very Merry Christmas

The Batemans Bay Business & Tourism Chamber, as part of their popular Visit Batemans Bay campaign, were touched and inspired by the many messages of Christmas love and support received from around the world this year - from André Rieu, Norah Jones, Stephan Moccio, Patrizio Buanne, Wesley Schultz (The Lumineers) and Patrick Roberts, courtesy of our friends at Universal Music Australia.

ANDRÉ RIEU:

My dear friends, I am in my studio in my hometown in Maastricht in Holland, together with my orchestra, playing and recording this beautiful music especially for you.

Australia is my second home. You have always welcomed us with open hearts and I have been inspired by the stories of your courage and determination, through the fires that swept your towns and through the trials that COVID brought us all.

The world may have come to a halt. But we survived. Because the music never stops.

As you light your Christmas tree and as you reunite with your family and friends, I wish you happiness and joy this season, and dedicate this music to the people and visitors of beautiful Batemans Bay.

WESLEY SCHULTZ (FROM THE LUMINEERS):

We’ve heard about your remarkable survival story and of the floods in Mogo. Your courage and resilience in these incredibly difficult times have been a source of inspiration for so many of us.

So we’re looking forward to the bright side, when the pandemic is behind us and we can come back and visit Batemans Bay in Australia once again. In the meantime, sending you much love from our families to yours. Take care, merry Christmas.

NORAH JONES:

I’m sending you in Batemans Bay a lot of love. I wish I could be there. But I’m wishing you a wonderful Christmastime and all the best for 2022.

STEPHAN MOCCIO:

I would love to wish the entire community of Batemans Bay a very merry Christmas. Your spirit and determination has been a gift to us all and I can’t wait to come and see you soon. I’d love to dedicate this very special piece of mine called Halston to all of you tonight. It represents bravery, courage and determination. Again, thank you for this and Merry Christmas.

PATRIZIO BUANNE:

I hope you didn’t feel I am saying “Batman… Batman Bay”. Jokes apart, I’m wishing you a merry Christmas and I want to say my respect to all of you… You’re truly survivors in all aspects and that is very inspirational. I really hope that very soon I’ll be able to see you soon in Australia… ‘Til then I wish you all the best…Viva la dolce vita – that means long live the sweet and the good life. Ciao ciao. Greetings from Europe
