Garlandtown house fire: Help Aunty Beryl rebuild her life

Hi my name is Ross Moore my 90 yo Aunty Beryl Brierley lost her house by fire yesterday around midday, she also almost lost her life. Her youngest Son Greg who predeceased her 5 months ago left her with his beloved pet dog Stinky who perished in the house fire, and her other dog little one crawled out of the burning house with her.

Aunty B is my mother's Aunty and a treasured elder in our community, and her community of Moruya both indigenous and non indigenous respect and value her a great deal

I would like you to reach into your hearts and see that this lady deserves something back after 90 years of giving, and please while your reaching I to your heart reach deep in your pockets as this is one way to rebuild all she lost well at least the material things the memories and personal treasures can never be replaced.

I spoke to Aunty Beryl this morning at her son Allen's home she explained to me that she was left with only the clothes she was wearing and no shoes, and although this devastates her, talking of Stinky breaks her up.

Aunty Beryl is a great lady and a very proud lady that lived completely independently after her children and grandchildren left home her only Daughter passed away awhile back followed by Uncle Ernie her husband a few years later. Her home was very modest and she lived humbly.

Aunty B is an animal lover and a great humanitarian who sees the good in all but was no fool to rorters and calls it as is he sees it

I remember when I was little boy she raised a litter if foxes she saved from a flooded den domestic or not they were living beings in her eyes.

I can't explain the love and respect I have for my Aunty B she is an extraordinary lady that did not deserve this in the summer of her life.
