Gallery Bodalla presents: Justin Pearson

NEW DATES for recent works by JUSTIN PEARSON at GALLERY BODALLA

After a 3 week delay due to the bushfires, Justin Pearson’s outstanding collection of recent oil paintings will now take place at Gallery Bodalla from Thursday 30 January to Sunday 23 February.

Expressive and sometimes dramatic, Justin’s exhibition features portraits, landscapes and works inspired by the theatre. These works are full of movement and nuance, all brought together skilfully with the most beautiful use of colour.

All are most welcome to join us for opening drinks with Justin Saturday 1 February at 3pm. As a special treat, solo guitarist extraordinaire John Hoorweg will play from his wide repertoire across many genres.

Born in Christchurch, Justin left New Zealand and made his way to London in 1981, where he completed his Bachelor of Fine Arts at Byam Shaw School of Art (Central Saint Martin’s College of Art and Design). He is represented in private and corporate collections in New Zealand, Australia and the UK and has won several awards including the Southern Highlands Portrait Prize, 2013, the Fettlers Heritage Art Prize 2011 and the Heysen Prize in 2007. He has also been a finalist in The Adams Portrait Award, Wellington New Zealand, the Fishers Ghost Award including this year, and a semi- finalist in the 2014 Doug Moran Portrait Prize with a portrait of the artist Euan Macleod.

Gallery Bodalla is open Thursday to Sunday 10.30am-4pm and by appointment, heritage post office building, Princes Hwy, Bodalla. Ph 0421 238 174 www.gallerybodalla.com.au
