A history of Framefast by Wayne Toms.

Framefast was an extension of the business Photofast that was a photo processing laboratory in Annettes Arcade established in 1980 by Wayne and Carol Toms with partners Ross and Trish Britt. When Photofast moved to 1 Orient Street in 1983 a framing operation was started in the arcade shop to frame and mount and laminate portraiture and aerial photo's. With the closing of Jed Laurence's art gallery in North Street the framing section was established there and called Framefast .The business expanded and Greg Caldwell was employed as manager and later purchased the business. After several years Greg sold out to the current owner Cliff. After all these years it is a sorry day to see it closed.
