Fire-ravaged communities 'victims of climate change', says doctor

On RN Breakfast with Fran Kelly

Doctors in towns along Australia's east coast are now trying to help their communities heal, as the long-term physical and psychological toll of this year's bushfires starts to become clear.

Among them is Michelle Hamrosi, a GP in the Batemans Bay area on the New South Wales South Coast.

Last year, the Australian Medical Association declared climate change a global emergency, and Dr Hamrosi says her community have become victims of climate change.
