Find your unique self in this exciting innovative workshop, embracing the beautiful medium of pastel and adding some inventive ways using mixed media to complement the medium. Coloured inks, black ink and charcoal as part of your underpainting with some additional ideas in creating texture. Explore reflections and composition in landscapes to create exciting mixed media art with impact. Catherine Hamilton is an accomplished artist in a number of different media. One of her favourites, pastel. Catherine pushes the boundaries creating innovative ideas with her knowledge of various mediums and bringing those together with the spontaneous marks and direct application of colour in pastel. Come and explore during this 2-day workshop. Catherine is and established, professional award winning artist and tutor. She teaches in several media and subjects creating confidence and inspiration in her students. Catherine works in a range of media including acrylics, oils, gouache, pastel and particularly drawing in charcoal and natural pigments. Her paintings are often built up within several layers of glazed colour to create both depth and texture. Catherine also specialises in understanding colour, teaching colour mixing and pigment in her workshops and tours.
