The NSW Government is encouraging motels, cafes and destinations of all kind to consider installing electric vehicles charging stations and they are offering dollars to help!

Grants ranging from $2000 to $40,000 per site, providing a subsidy of 75%, are available to apply for. The aim is to boost regional tourism as part of a $171 million investment in EV charging over the next 4 years. The grants will be offered on a co-funded basis for the purchase and installation of EV chargers ideal for any business with a car park where people spend at least a few hours.

Local sustainability champions SHASA South Coast Health & Sustainability Alliance are providing support to local businesses who would like to apply, including a simplified one page eligibility document and standard application content to save businesses the time.

For more information contact Kathryn Maxwell on 0467 558 645 or Wendy Wilson on 0412 125 546 or email SHASA contact.shasa@gmail.com
