EuroSCUG would like to invite all interested members of the community to their next meeting which will be held at the Moruya Golf Club on Wednesday 2 October at 10.am.
The guest speaker will be Ray Sillett, a professional photographer from Tuross who currently runs the Happy Snappers, a group of enthusiastic amateurs who are keen on improving their photographic skills. (Check out their Facebook page, Tuross Head Happy Snappers). Ray was formerly one of the photographers for the Moruya Jazz Festival.
Ray is going to discuss and demonstrate composing photographs, something a lot of us don’t think about much these days as we click away with our Smart phones. He will also look at editing photos to bring out the best in them. Ray will be available for individual questions during and after morning tea.
Following morning tea there will be a number of Special Interest Groups. Our President Amanda Annabel will run a Beginners Group, David Num, a member of our Technical Team will run a session on Android Basics, Lesley Wilmouth, our Membership Secretary will present a session on creating Christmas letters and Christmas cards, and there will be several Help Desks to enable members to have individual queries answered, and hopefully problems solved.
There will be an Apple Help Desk with Apple Guru Peter Anderson to cater for our increasing number of Apple users, a Genealogy Help Desk which will give you the opportunity for a one-on-one session with our renowned genealogist Cora Num, and a Windows and Android Help Desk for both Beginners and Advanced users with Vice President and Technical Team leader Mike Hitchcock and former President Margaret Turner who will provide help on PCs, tablets and smart phones.
EuroSCUG meets at 10am on the first Wednesday of each month at the Moruya Golf Club, and Local Area Groups meet regularly in towns along the Eurobodalla. Monthly phone and tablet groups (Apple and Android) are also held. Visitors are most welcome to attend a meeting.
