Last Wednesday , 24 of the Eurobodalla Walking for Pleasure group gathered on a beautiful sunny spring day, at Maloney’s Beach for our weekly outing. We left the parking area and walked behind the houses to the entrance to the Acheron trail, up onto the hill above the beach following the trail which continues back the the headland, and to the Acheron Ledges, a set of beautiful rock formations. However, as it was low tide, we decided instead to head across to the lovely beach on the other side of the hill and stroll along the beautiful hard packed sand to the next rocky point.
After having a look at some of the names carved over the years at the large rock, and taking a short breather we returned to Maloney’s beach for lunch, surrounded by the multitude of kangaroos which live in the area. Another great day out!
