Eurobodalla Photographic Club. Transport With A Raw Ending

The September meeting of the Eurobodalla Photographic Club opened with an interactive presentation of images on the theme “Transport” by Colin Pass. Colin managed to engage everyone present seeking opinions on the relevance or otherwise of the images to the topic and also the quality of the images. Colin has traveled through most of the continents over many years and gathered images raging from bicycles in the desert to gondolas in Venice and boats in the backwaters of Asia. A fascinating insight to transport.

Following the judging and critique of members competition entries, Mick Newnham finished the night with a technical dissertation under the title Raw or Cooked. File types in the age of digital photography are many and complex. Mick explained the uses, applications, and technical aspects of the file options available, in particular the importance of future proofing and archiving photographic collections.
